TEAM BALIKATAN RESCUE IN EMERGENCIES (TeamBRE)
The TEAMBRE Project
- Organizes and mobilizes fisherfolks for joint undertakings in rescue and evacuation of affected families in coastal barangays and disaster-prone communities. The project aims to enable the fisherfolks to become contributing members of their families and communities by making them partners in disaster preparedness and response while providing them alternative source of livelihood during lean or typhoon months. This is in response to the situational analysis which found that they have low economic productivity and have high casualty rates during typhoon.
