JOB NETWORK SERVICES (JNS)

An intensive services to Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU) clients to enable them to find a job. Part of the services includes job matching, occupational guidance and counseling, granting of cash assistance to be used by the clients for job hunting and support for the family while waiting for job placement 

ORGANIZATIONAL THRUST

  • Provide access to clients to job placement offices or companies which provide employment opportunities.
  • Harness the skills and potentials of the CIU clients to become gainfully employed
  • Foster change in the impoverished situation of the CIU clients towards self-reliance to augment family income
  • Put in place a network mechanism with resource agencies/individuals who may be able to provide assistance for employment

COMPONENTS

  • Social Preparation:
    This starts from problem determination, where the social worker prepares the clients readiness in Job seeking.
  • Capability Building:
    This includes training for CIU staff on counseling, resume' preparation and posting and use of internet for searching jobs
  • Provision of Services:
    1. Job search assistance, where client is referred to companies and resume's are entered into the job networks.

    2. Conditional Cash Assistance Support which includes the provision of cash assistance to clients for not more than six (6) months to be used for job searching among others

    3. Occupational Guidance / Counseling
