CASH TRANSFER AND CASH VOUCHER TO AFFECTED FAMILIES IN EMERGENCIES (CTCVAFE)
Is a DSWD model of intervention which aims to provide appropriate and timely response to varying and prioritized needs of families affected by either natural or human induced disasters by means of cash transfer and or cash voucher instead of food commodities in order for them to be able to purchase their varying and prioritized needs.
ORGANIZATIONAL THRUST
- To enable families meet their minimum food needs and non-food needs in emergency or disaster situations.
- To capacitate and enhance decision-making and problem-solving skills of affected individuals and families through the use of cash transfer / voucher in responding to their prioritized needs.
- To enable affected families to undertake productive activities foe economic recovery in addition to meeting day to day basic needs.
- To establish community monitors and create an atmosphere of community action in response to their early recovery.
COMPONENTS

Capability Building
It involves training of implementers, partners, beneficiaries, community leaders and volunteers on organization building, project management implementation and monitoring of beneficiaries' compliance to the agreement on the use of cash interventions. -
Provision of Cash Interventions
The cash transfer and cash voucher shall be provided to identify affected families which shall serve as options to the regular family food pack provided during relief operations. -
Advocacy, networking, collaboration and mobilization
This involves collaboration and networking of the inter-agency committee which is continuing activity in all phases of the project
PILOT AREAS
- 3 Regions in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao composed of FO V, VIII and XII frequently visited by natural or human induced emergencies.
